Opposing the culture of death is primarily a spiritual battle

The fight against the culture of death is primarily a spiritual battle and in the midst of the ongoing battle it is good to be reminded that we should not simply depend on our own resources that we must first recognise the need to pray for defeat of the culture of death and the dawning of a new era that recognises and respects all human life from the moment of conception until natural death

Here is lovely, and thoughtful, suggestion from Human Life International (HLI), that was put forward in their recent newsletter.   They ask that everyone should join their international campaign ‘to promote praying the St. Michael prayer after every Mass.’

The suggestion continues – ‘This grassroots campaign is designed to encourage the laity to pray for St. Michael’s intercession for the conversion of abortionists.  It is also a call to priests and bishops to include the St. Michael prayer after the final blessing at all Masses.  The fight against the culture of death is primarily a spiritual battle, and Human Life International knows that with the aid of St. Michael, abortionists around the world will convert from the their cooperation with evil.
‘Human Life International has produced St. Michael prayer cards in nine languages and provides the text of the prayer in 27 languages. ‘Help us spread the word and pray souls away from the evil of abortion.’
What an excellent suggestion for a new years resolution
